World News and Views :: Top of the News Toray Assesses Flood Damage in Thailand; Prepares to Restart Plants4:58 AM MST | November 30, 2011 | Deepti Ramesh Toray Industries says that damage assessment has begun on November 26 at Thai Toray Synthetics (TTS; Bangkok) subsidiary’s Ayutthaya plant in Thailand, which had stopped operating on October 6, as a result of the floods. The Ayutthaya plant produces nylon yarns for industrial use and polyester yarn for apparels. It has not been decided when the plant would restart, Toray says.
