Tokuyama to Begin Construction of Polysilicon Facility in Malaysia

Tokuyama (Tokyo) says its Tokuyama Malaysia (Kuching, Malaysia) subsidiary will soon begin construction of the previously announced polysilicon manufacturing facility at the Samalaju Industrial Park in the state of Sarawak, Malaysia. The facility will involve an investment of about ¥80 billion ($957 million) which will include the investment for infrastructure and utilities. The facility will produce polysilicon for solar cells, and will have a production capacity of 6,200 m.t./year. Construction of the facility will be completed in the first quarter of 2013...
