Teva to Acquire Ratiopharm for $4.9 Billion

Teva Pharmaceutical Industries (Petah Tikva, Israel), the leading generics pharmaceutical company in the world, says it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Ratiopharm (Ulm, Germany), the second largest generics producer in Germany and the sixth largest generics drug company worldwide, for an enterprise value of €3.62 billion ($4.9 billion).
