World News and Views :: Top of the News Tensions Rise Over Reach Pre-Registration Numbers8:53 AM MDT | October 8, 2008 | Alex Scott ECHA has published a statement calling on Reach applicants to “reflect upon their pre-registration strategy” and not to unnecessarily pre-register chemical substances. ECHA’s statement follows pre-registration by two companies during the summer of the entire Reach chemicals inventory. Specialty chemicals distributor Azelis has confirmed that it is one of the two companies. ECHA has since limited pre-registrations to 10,000 for each company.
