Teijin to Expand DMT Supply Capability in Japan

Teijin has announced plans to enhance its capability to supply dimethyl terephthalate (DMT) from the company's Matsuyama, Japan production site. Teijin will add a line that processes DMT into high-purity briquettes, the form suited best for external sales, the company says. The project represents an investment of about ¥1 billion. Construction will begin in October 2012, and operations are due to start in April 2013.
