World News and Views :: Top of the News Technip Awarded Ethylene Contract in Venezuela1:16 PM MST | January 5, 2010 | Natasha Alperowicz Technip has been awarded a reimbursable contract by Polimerica (Caracas) to perform front end engineering design (FEED) for a previously announced ethylene plant at Jose, Venezuela. The plant will be designed to produce 1.3 million m.t./year of ethylene and will form part of a petrochemical complex with an overall investment of about $3.2 billion. Technip was awarded a letter of intent for the ethane cracker last year, as exclusively reported in CW.
