Syngenta Reports Rise in Earnings, Is More Cautious on 2009

Syngenta says 2008 net income rose 25%, to $1.38 billion, on strong demand for seeds and crop protection products. Sales rose 21%, to $11.6 billion. Earnings per share rose 42%, to $16.26, excluding restructuring and impairment charges.
