World News and Views :: Top of the News Syngenta Plans to Invest $85 Million in Seeds and Crop Protection Complex in Russia11:33 AM MDT | September 21, 2012 | Natasha Alperowicz Syngenta said today that “in conjunction with the Governor of the Krasnodar” region in Russia, it has signed a letter of intent to invest $85 million in a new agricultural chemicals complex. The complex is expected to produce hybrid seed and crop protection chemicals. Syngenta, subject to obtaining the necessary local permits and approvals, expects to commence production of hybrid seed in 2015 and of crop protection products in 2016.
