Supreme Court of India Reopens Bhopal Case

The Supreme Court of India (New Delhi) has reopened the Bhopal gas case to reexamine a verdict in June by a court in Bhopal that convicted seven former Union Carbide executives for negligence and for failing to prevent the methyl isocyanate (MIC) leak at Union Carbide’s Bhopal, India plant in December 1984 that killed more than 4,000.
