Sumitomo Establishes Polypropylene Compounds JV in China

Sumitomo Chemical says it has established a 50-50 joint venture company with Jilin Xindongtai Engineering Plastics, a plastic compound producer based at the automobile industry development zone in Jilin province, China, for the manufacture and sale of polypropylene (PP) compounds for automotive applications.
