Süd-Chemie and Linde Start Straw-to-Biofuels Pilot Plant

Süd-Chemie and Linde have started up a pilot plant for a process jointly developed by the two firms to manufacture biofuels from cereal straw and other cellulosic biomass. The plant is located at Süd-Chemie’s Munich research center. It has capacity to manufacture up to 2 m.t./year of bioethanol.
