Storm, Floods Hurt Chemical Industry in Australia

Incitec Pivot (Melbourne) says that its manufacturing operations in northern Queensland, Australia have been affected by Cyclone Yasi, which struck the region earlier today. The company's fertilizer complex at Phosphate Hill and its sulfuric acid unit at Mount Isa had been operating at reduced rates over the past two days, and production at the sites was suspended temporarily today.
