Stamicarbon to revamp and expand urea plant in Romania

Azomures plans a major revamp of its urea manufacturing complex at Tirgu Mures, Romania. The company has been working with the Czech contractor Chemoprojekt on the project. Chemoproject has awarded the license and process design contract to Stamicarbon (Sittard, Netherlands), the licensing subsidiary of Maire Tecnimont. Stamicarbon will revamp the existing urea melt plant and deliver a new granulation facility at the site.   Stamicarbon will use its pool reactor design, changing the synthesis plant from a conventional 1970s design to a Urea 2000Plus Pool...
