World News and Views :: Top of the News Solvay to Invest €120 Million to Build Specialty Polymers Plant in China12:14 AM MDT | June 23, 2011 | Deepti Ramesh Solvay says it will build a specialty polymers production plant for its Solef polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), Tecnoflon fluoroelastomers and their essential VF2 monomer at the company’s site at Changshu, China. The plant will require an investment of €120 million ($172 million) and will significantly boost Solvay's global production capacity for these specialty polymers. The plant is scheduled to become operational at the beginning of 2014, and will enable Solvay to meet the growing demand for these specialty polymers in Asia, the company says...
