World News and Views :: Top of the News Solvay to Build Epichlorohydrin Plant in China5:16 AM MST | December 14, 2010 | Deepti Ramesh Solvay says it is studying the construction of an epichlorohydrin production plant in the Taixing Economic Development Park at Taixing, China. The plant, which will have an initial capacity of 100,000 m.t./year, is expected to start producing in 2013 and will be based on Solvay’s Epicerol technology. The plant will serve the rapidly growing Chinese epichlorohydrin market, which currently represents 29% of the world market, Solvay says.
