World News and Views :: Top of the News Solvay Confirms Clamadieu as Next CEO11:56 AM MST | January 17, 2012 | Natasha Alperowicz The board of directors of Solvay announced today that Christian Jourquin, Solvay's CEO, will step down on May 10, 2012. Jean-Pierre Clamadieu, deputy CEO of Solvay, and formerly CEO of Rhodia, will, as previously announced, succeed Jourquin when he retires. Clamadieu will be proposed for appointment to the board of directors of Solvay at the annual shareholders meeting on May 8, 2012. Jourquin's decision is motivated by the progress achieved in the integration process following the completion of Solvay’s acquisition of Rhodia on September 16, 2011...
