World News and Views :: Top of the News Solutia Expects Higher Third-Quarter Ebitda11:09 AM MDT | October 20, 2008 | Nancy Seewald Solutia says it expects third-quarter Ebitda from continuing operations, which includes Saflex, technical specialties, and CPFilms, of $111 million, up 46% compared from the year-ago period. Sales are expected to grow 29%, to $587 million. The company cites “volume, price, and manufacturing improvements.” Its nylon business, which will be reported as a discontinued operation, is expected to post a loss of $5 million, on sales of $506 million.
