Sinopec’s Chemicals Segment Reports Rise in Operating Profits and Sales

Sinopec’s chemicals business posted a 9% increase in operating profit for 2010, to Rmb15.04 billion compared with 2009. Sales by the chemicals business increased about 50%, to Rmb327.6 billion mainly due to “the substantial increase in sales volume and also in sales price,” Sinopec says.
