Sinopec hires Honeywell to modernize petrochemical plants in China

Sinopec Maoming Company (Maoming, China) has hired Honeywell Process Solutions (Honeywell) to deploy modern process control and optimization software at two aging plants in Guangdong Province.  Honeywell, which announced the contract on 14 November, says that it will install its Profit Suite R400, which will help improve plant performance by increasing energy efficiency, operational flexibility, and yield.The plants, which currently produce 1 million m.t. of petrochemical products each year, have been in operation for more than 50 years...
