Sibur brings onstream BOPP film plant at Novokuybyshevsk

Biaxplen, a subsidiary of Sibur Holding (Moscow), has commissioned a new biaxially-oriented polypropylene (BOPP) film production line at Novokuybyshevsk, Samara region, Russia. The formal ceremony was attended by Nikolay Merkushkin, governor of the Samara region, Leonid Mikhelson, chairman of Sibur Holding, Dmitry Konov, Sibur’s CEO, and other senior executives.    The new 30,500 m.t./year production line, which uses equipment supplied by Brückner Maschinenbau, increased Biaxplen’s BOPP-film production capacity at Novokuybyshevsk to...
