World News and Views :: Top of the News Showa Denko to Manufacture N-Propyl Acetate11:57 PM MDT | October 26, 2008 | Deepti Ramesh Showa Denko says it will manufacture n-propyl acetate for use in solvents for ink for special gravure printing. The company says it will complete setting up the production facilities for n-propyl acetate at its petrochemical complex at Oita, Japan by the end of 2009 and will also use the existing facilities at the site. Showa Denko plans to start selling the product by early 2010. Toluene and methyl ethyl ketone are currently used as solvents for the gravure printing ink.
