World News and Views :: Top of the News Showa Denko Restarts Ethylene Plant12:06 AM MDT | June 13, 2012 | Deepti Ramesh Showa Denko says it has today restarted operations at its ethylene plant at the company’s production complex at Oita, Japan, following completion of repair work in the equipment for cooling process. The two-line ethylene plant has a total production capacity of 695,000 m.t./year. Production at the 200,000-m.t./year line was stopped on March 7, and production at the 495,000-m.t./year line was stopped on March 15, for periodic maintenance of the cracking furnaces.
