Shippers’ Suit Alleges Railroads Conspired to Inflate Fuel Surcharges

Legal action filed by rail shippers against four major carriers seeks compensation for an alleged conspiracy by the railroads to inflate fuel surcharges. The lawsuit, if successful, would help chemical firms recoup millions of dollars in shipping costs.
