Shipper Groups Urge Senate to Pass Rail Antitrust Bill

Rail shipper groups are throwing their support behind a Senate bill that seeks to remove the railroad industry’s antitrust exemption. The Railroad Antitrust Enforcement Act, sponsored by Sen. Herb Kohl (D. WI), is scheduled to go before the full Senate for consideration tomorrow, although a filibuster to block the bill is expected.
