World News and Views :: Top of the News Shell to increase capacity at petrochemical complex in Singapore12:02 PM MST | November 15, 2012 | Deepti Ramesh Shell says it has taken a final investment decision to debottleneck its steam cracker at Bukom Island, Singapore. This is expected to increase the capacity of olefins and aromatics by more than 20%. Shell had first announced plans to debottleneck its Singapore cracker last year. Engineering work for the debottlenecking will take place during the next maintenance turn-around of the cracker, Shell says.
