(Pittsburgh, PA) to evaluate a site at Monaca, PA for a potential petrochemical complex. The company announced last year it was developing plans to build a world-scale ethylene plant atop Marcellus Shale natural gas deposits in the U.S. Northeast. The cracker would have ethylene capacity of about 1.3 million m.t./year. Polyethylene (PE) will be the main downstream product and the company is also considering an ethylene glycol (EG) plant.
