World News and Views :: Top of the News Sealed Air sells Diversey Japan to Carlyle to focus on higher growth markets, reduce debt4:32 AM MDT | October 30, 2012 | Natasha Alperowicz Sealed Air Corp., (Elmwood Park, NJ) announced today that it has entered into a definitive agreement with an investment vehicle of the Carlyle Group to sell its Japanese unit Diversey G.K., an indirect subsidiary of Diversey, Inc., owned by Sealed Air Corp., for approximately ¥30 billion ($377 million). Diversey Japan is a leading provider of cleaning, sanitation and hygiene products and solutions, mainly to institutional customers in the Japanese market, with sales in the 12 month through 30 September 2012, of approximately $321 million. ...
