World News and Views :: Top of the News Sasol progresses with Lake Charles cracker project, selects Unipol PE process9:09 AM MST | March 5, 2013 | Natasha Alperowicz Sasol North America has selected Univation’s Unipol polyethylene (PE) technology for a 450,000-m.t./year plant to be built as part of a previously announced $5–7 billion ethane cracker project at Lake Charles, LA. The swing facility will be designed to produce linear low- and/or high-density polyethylene, (LLDPE/HDPE) including metallocene LLDPE.
