The contract fine chemicals market in some electronic and pharmaceuticals fields is now in a growth phase after a “tough” 2009, says Gilles Cottier, president of Sigma Aldrich Fine Chemicals (SAFC). Cottier told journalists earlier today in Chicago that sales for SAFC during the first quarter of 2010 were up by about 10% compared with the same period one year ago, and are continuing to grow at this rate.
