Russia's United Petrochemical Co. plans world-scale cracker

United Petrochemical Co. (UPC), a subsidiary of Russian energy group Bashneft (Moscow), is studying plans to build a world-scale ethylene plant at Ufa, Russia. UPC is a relatively new company created to consolidate Bashneft’s petrochemical assets and further develop them as a separate entity.
