World News and Views :: Top of the News Russian Potash Fertilizer Producer More than Doubles Output8:15 AM MDT | July 22, 2010 | Natasha Alperowicz Uralkali (Berezniki, Russia), one of Russia's largest chemical companies and a leading global potash fertilizer producer with about 10% of the market, has more than doubled output of potassium chloride in June 2010 and in the first six months of this year. Production in June reached 395,000 m.t., 2.2 times more than in June of 2009. In the first half of this year production reached 2.4 million m.t., more than double the same period of last year.
