RusVinyl begins producing PVC in Russia

RusVinyl, an equally owned joint venture between Sibur (Moscow) and SolVin, on 3 August began test batch production of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), Sibur announced today. Solvay holds a 75% stake in SolVin, and BASF has the balance. The new facility, based at Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod, Region, Russia, is slated to be commissioned in the second half of this year.   The governor of Nizhny Novgorod, Valery Shantsev, visited RusVinyl today to witness the first ton of PVC being produced and to congratulate RusVinyl's CEO, Guenther Nadolny, on this milestone event...
