Rockefeller Bill Would Prevent Use of Security Claims to Avoid Disclosure

Senator Jay Rockefeller (D., WV) has introduced legislation that would prevent companies from withholding certain information from the public in the wake of a chemical plant explosion or accidental release. Rockefeller says the bill is response to Bayer CropScience’s actions in the wake of its Institute, West Virginia accident that killed three workers.
