Researchers Link Phthalates Exposure to Less Masculine Behavior in Boys

A recent survey published online in the International Journal of Andrology links prenatal exposure to certain phthalates with “less male-typical” behavior in boys. The researchers, lead by Shanna Swan at the University of Rochester’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (Rochester, NY), builds on a previous study Swan participated in that linked phthalate exposure to adverse human male development health effects.
