World News and Views :: Top of the News Reliance and Sibur to Form Butyl Rubber Joint Venture in India6:22 AM MDT | May 16, 2010 | Deepti Ramesh Reliance Industries says it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Sibur (Moscow) to set up a joint venture that will produce butyl rubber at Reliance’s integrated petrochemical site at Jamnagar, India. Sibur will provide proprietary technology for butyl rubber polymerisation and its finishing, and Reliance will supply monomers and provide the JV with infrastructure and utilities, according to the MOU.
