Qatar and Itochu Link in $4-Billion Petchem Project in Vietnam

Qatar Petroleum and Itochu Corp. are in discussions with Siam Cement and PetroVietnam to construct a joint venture petrochemical complex in southern Vietnam, according to local press reports. The complex would cost about $4 billion to build and would be based on an olefins complex with capacity for 1.4 million m.t./year.
