World News and Views :: Top of the News Private Equity Firm: Chemical Stocks Overvalued, Unspent Capital Will Be Put to Use10:19 AM MST | November 20, 2009 | Vincent Valk The recent climb in values in chemicals sector stocks is not sustainable, Thomas Kichler, managing director at One Equity Partners (One Equity; Chicago), told an audience at Societe de Chimie Industrielle meeting in New York this week. As equity markets have risen, forward earnings in the sector have declined, and eventually the former will fall in line with the latter, Kichler says. "The equity markets will correct, but I can't say when," he adds. Private equity investment in chemicals is likely to make a comeback, though its form will be different...
