Praxair acquires beverage carbonation firm NuCO2 for $1.1 billion

Praxair has agreed to acquire beverage carbonation firm NuCO2 from a Los Angeles–based private equity firm, Aurora Capital Group, for $1.1 billion in cash. The transaction is expected to close by the end of first-quarter 2013, pending regulatory approval.
