Poor Demand Forces Mitsubishi Rayon to Postpone Start Up of Carbon Fiber Plant

Mitsubishi Rayon says it has decided to postpone the start of production at its previously announced new carbon fiber plant at Otake, Japan by about a year, due to the current severe business environment. Construction work, which is currently underway, will be temporarily halted in line with this decision, Mitsubishi Rayon says. The plant was originally scheduled to begin operations in the fourth quarter of 2009.
