Petronas's Rapid project start-up delayed until 2017

Petronas’s (Kuala Lumpur) 60-billion ringgit ($19.4 billion) refinery and petrochemical integrated development (Rapid) project planned at Pengerang, Johor State, Malaysia, will be delayed by about a year, the company said earlier this week. This delay is due to the Johor government's delays in relocating residents as well as other issues, said Petronas president and CEO Tan Datuk Shamsul Azhar Abbas at a media briefing announcing the results of the energy major.
