World News and Views :: Top of the News Petrochem and CPChem Start-up Petchems Complex at Jubail3:48 AM MDT | June 25, 2012 | Natasha Alperowicz The National Petrochemical Company (Petrochem; Riyadh) has announced the start up of a major petchems complex at Jubail Saudi Arabia. The project was built by the Saudi Polymers Company, a joint venture in which Petrochem has 65% and Arabian Chevron Phillips has the balance. Arabian Chevron Phillips is wholly owned by Chevron Phillips Chemical. Construction of the facilities was completed late last year. The complex is designed to produce 1.165 million m.t./year of ethylene, 430,000 m.t./year of propylene, a combined 1.1 million m.t./year of...
