Petro Rabigh reports shutdown of operations following power cut

Petro Rabigh (Rabigh, Saudi Arabia) today reported that, on 11 September, the supply of electricity and steam from Rabigh Arabian Water and Electricity Co. (Rawec) was suddenly interrupted. This interruption has led to the shutdown of operations in the company's complex, the Petro Rabigh says. Petro Rabigh, a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Sumitomo Chemical, operates a 400,000-bbl/day refinery and a 1.3-million m.t./year ethylene plant as well as several downstream facilities producing polyethylene, polypropylene, propylene oxide, and...
