Pertamina and PTT agree on PE, PP deliveries in pre-marketing deal

Pertamina (Jakarta) will source polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) from PTT Global Chemical (Bangkok) for sale in Indonesia, to seed the market before the partners construct a $5-billion petrochemical complex in Indonesia. PTT, as part of the deal, will deliver 5,000 m.t./month of PE and PP to Pertamina. Deliveries will begin when Pertamina and PTT officially establish the joint venture later this year.   Pertamina and PTT agreed earlier this year to establish the petchems jv in Java, Indonesia.
