PPG Buys Industrial Coatings Firm

PPG Industries says it has acquired industrial coatings maker Coatings Resource Corp. (CRC; Huntington Beach, CA) for an undisclosed sum. CRC also produces colorants, blowing agents, stabilizers, and antioxidants for use on plastics. The deal includes inventory, accounts receivable, key sales and technical personnel, selected equipment, formulations, and customer lists.
