Orica Reports Rise in Profits and Sales

Orica (Melbourne) reported a 4% rise in net profits before individually material items for the full fiscal year ended September 30, 2011, to A$642 million ($664 million), compared with the previous fiscal year. Sales increased 6.4%, to A$6.18 billion. Orica’s chemicals segment recorded a 5.8% increase in full-year sales, to A$1.51 billion, compared with the previous fiscal year.
