World News and Views :: Top of the News Orica Plans Ammonium Nitrate Capacity Expansion in Australia2:12 AM MDT | June 21, 2010 | Deepti Ramesh Orica, in a statement to the Australian Securities Exchange, says it plans to expand ammonium nitrate production capacity at the company’s plant at Kooragang Island, New South Wales, Australia by 320,000 m.t./year, to bring the total capacity to 750,000 m.t./year. The preliminary estimate of total cost for the expansion is about A$600 million-A$750 million ($531 million-$664 million), Orica says.
