World News and Views :: Top of the News Orica Joins Yara and Apache’s Ammonium Nitrate Project in Australia11:20 AM MST | March 1, 2012 | Deepti Ramesh Orica (Melbourne) says it has signed an agreement with Yara International and Apache Energy (Perth, Australia), a subsidiary of Apache Corp. (Houston), to form a joint venture to build a previously announced 330,000-m.t./year technical ammonium nitrate (TAN) plant at the Burrup Peninsula in Western Australia, and to distribute TAN and other explosives products to mining customers in the Pilbara region in Western Australia.
