World News and Views :: Top of the News Olin Reports Increased Fourth Quarter Profits8:09 AM MST | January 27, 2009 | Kara Sissell Olin says fourth quarter net income from continuing operations was $47.2 million (61 cts/share) up from the year-ago quarter’s net income of $29.6 million (40cts/share). Sales from continuing operations were $434.2 million, compared to $404.8 million in the fourth quarter 2007. Olin forecasts first-quarter 2009 earnings to be 50 cts/share to 65 cts/share.
