World News and Views :: Top of the News Oleon Inaugurates World's First Bio Propylene Glycol Plant in Belgium9:12 AM MDT | June 28, 2012 | Sotirios Frantzanas Oleon (Ertvelde, Belgium) today held an inauguration ceremony for a new bio propylene glycol production plant at Ertvelde. The €8.2 million ($10.2 million) plant was opened by the Flemish minister-president Kris Peeters. Oleon's new plant produces bio propylene glycol from glycerin, and reduces the CO2 balance by 70% compared with petroleum-based propylene glycol manufacture, the company says.
