Nufarm Ends Discussions with China National Chemical and Blackstone

Agchem company Nufarm (Melbourne) says it ended discussions with a consortium of investors to buy the company. The consortium, comprising China National Chemical (Beijing), The Blackstone Group, and Fox Paine Management, says it â€świll be unable to formalize its proposal prior to the expiry of the exclusivity period,â€ť which expires today. The consortium had offered Nufarm A$17.25/share, which valued the company at A$3 billion ($2.6 billion).
