World News and Views :: Top of the News Nufarm Ends Discussions with China National Chemical and Blackstone4:18 AM MST | December 10, 2007 | Kerri Walsh Agchem company Nufarm (Melbourne) says it ended discussions with a consortium of investors to buy the company. The consortium, comprising China National Chemical (Beijing), The Blackstone Group, and Fox Paine Management, says it “will be unable to formalize its proposal prior to the expiry of the exclusivity period,” which expires today. The consortium had offered Nufarm A$17.25/share, which valued the company at A$3 billion ($2.6 billion).
